In 2012, Zainab Naveed won the title of Miss Pakistan World in Toronto. The next year, she founded Miss Pakistan USA.
Naveed tragically passed in a car accident in 2019. Since then, her legacy has been carried on through the continuation of Miss Pakistan USA.
Zainab Naveed wins Miss Pakistan USA title
In 2012, Naveed entered the Miss Pakistan World competition, representing Lahore. She walked away with the title, and even went on to compete in the Miss Earth 2012 pageant. In fact, she took Silver in the Miss Earth 2012 Trivia Challenge, among other awards.
Following this success, Naveed wanted to bring such opportunities to others. In 2013, she founded the Miss Pakistan USA competition.
Since then, Miss Pakistan USA has awarded 6 Miss Pakistan USA titles, and introduced the Mrs Pakistan USA competition.
Zainab Naveed leaves her legacy
Tragically, Naveed passed away in 2019. Since then, her brother and Miss Pakistan USA co-founder Ali Naveed has ensured that her legacy continues.
“The Miss and Mrs. Pakistan U.S.A pageant seeks to promote qualities which emphasize the beauty, intelligence, culture and heritage that Pakistani women embody,” Naveed says. “Although the pageant is based in North America, it welcomes women from around the world who possess strong goals, a positive vision and an unwavering determination to promote Pakistani culture and values.”
The competition has included contestants from over 30 US states, and continues to grow throughout the country.
