Partner at MADE Capital Eren Ozagir has had an illustrious career of innovation. He previously acted as founder and CEO of Push Doctor, Europe’s largest GP consultation service. Before then, Ozagir held senior positions from a young age across a wide range of industries.

Now he turns his attention to MADE capital. Like humanitarian venture capitalist Rostam Zafari, MADE Capital focuses on developing a future characterized by sustainable digital living. MADE invests in companies that provide essential products for consumers, without harming the world around us.

Eren Ozagir rises in the world of tech

Ozagir’s first major job came as Commercial and Marketing director at Music Zone in 2004. The business grew to become the largest independent music retailer in the UK with over 100 stores. He then founded The F20, a Youtube influencer agency and the world’s first Youtube commercial ratecard. The company represented some of the world’s most subscribed Youtubers, creating content for brands including EMI and 20th Century Fox.

Acting as Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at musicMagpie for three years, the company hit £100m in net revenue. Ozagir grew the business to become Amazon and Ebay’s largest 3P merchant in the world.

In 2013, he then founded Push Doctor, where he acted as CEO for eight years. Push Doctor soon grew to become Europe’s largest on-demand GP consultation service. It covered some 6 million NHS patients in the UK, sparking regulatory change and the adoption of digital services nationwide.

Eren Ozagir listens to his customers

Ozagir hails from the UK, where he studied at the University of Leeds. He currently resides in Yorkshire. His inspiration? The feedback he gets from his service users, knowing that his work is making an impact. Push Doctor grew to such an extent that Ozagir was receiving this feedback wherever he went: “That unprompted face-to-face feedback from someone we’ve helped is incredible,” he says.

No single person does Ozagir cite as a major influence. He instead sees himself as the product of multiple positive forces spanning an array of industries. From these he’s learnt the leadership and team building skills that have made his businesses so successful. “My career is the result of a collective set of influences, and I’m proud of that balance,” he remarks.

Ozagir does mention one person from history who has had a big impact on his outlook: microbiologist and pathologist René Dubos. It’s specifically his definition of health that has guided Ozagir: “a  measure of each person’s ability to do and become what he wants to become.”

Eren Ozagir: MADE Capital

Since December 2020, Ozagir has acted as partner for MADE Capital, a new kind of investment fund committed to digital sustainability. “We believe that brands, companies and teams can transform into more successful versions of themselves and best serve everyone’s sustainable digital lives, given the reason and time,” MADE Capital says.

Ozagir partners with Matthew Phillips and Alison J Cooper. Both have extensive experience in M&A, with the latter previously one of only five female CEOs in the FTSE 100. MADE Capital wants to find free thinkers with great ideas that it can work with and lift up.
