Zaid Elnasser, co-founder and replay engineer of Medal.tv, has helped raise over $60 million for the company. A platform to create, watch and share short gaming videos, Medal.tv has millions of users. The platform uniquely allows users to create, edit and share gaming clips all in the same space.
Medal.tv’s latest round of funding comes off the back of previous $45 million and $15 million funding rounds. The funds for this round will go towards expanding R & D, hiring key talents and strategic acquisitions.
Zaid Elnasser’s career in tech
Before founding Medal.tv in 2017, Elnasser worked as a software engineer at Fancy Turnip, a mobile games company. He then co-founded Medal.tv alongside Dutch serial entrepreneur Pim DeWitte, the mind behind the game Soul Split.
Noticing how many people now make their memories online, they met the need for gamers to share their favorite moments. Medal.tv received $3.5 million of funding on its launch. It now has millions of daily users across PC, mobile and console.
