Elegance, simplicity, and timelessness: Sareh Nouri brings a unique combination of these qualities as she returns with her new Spring 2020 line of bridal gowns.

For her classic and coveted wedding designs, Nouri draws inspiration from diverse sources, including her heritage, upbringing, education, and the small beauty of daily life.

“I get inspired by all things beautiful,” Nouri admits. “From nature, amazing fabrics – my favorite part of my job – and people.”

Iranian Art and Her Own Wedding Influenced Sareh Nouri

Nouri immigrated from Tehran at a young age. Even then, she knew she wanted to pursue art. When other kids aspired to medicine or law, she only dreamed of art.

Early on, Nouri drew inspiration from the Iranian painter Abbas Katouzian, who became her teacher and mentor. She then went on to earn a degree in graphic design and incorporated her early influences with her new training.

“I come from an art background,” she remarks. “And there are elements of art that are similar in designing dresses. I got my degree in Graphic Design and that has been so beneficial in my business.”

But Nouri’s own wedding in 2009 would ultimately begin her career. Her interest in bridal design flourished during the creation of her own wedding gown.

For her elegant designs, Nouri has now amassed legions of fans, including former American Idol contestant Diana DeGarmo, and her work has been featured in magazines like Grace Ormonde Wedding StylePeople, and Brides.

Persian Elements in Sareh Nouri’s Designs

“My Persian roots have a great influence on my designs,” Nouri explains. “I travel to Iran frequently, and continuously get inspiration from the Persian patterns.”

These inspirations come in various forms: from intricate lace detail to simple, dramatic lines.

Sareh Nouri Wants Every Bride to Find “The One”

Nouri began designing dresses when she had trouble finding the perfect dress for her own wedding. Now, she takes joy in helping other brides find the perfect dress for their special day.

“The highlight of my design career happens every time a bride to be is wearing a Sareh Nouri gown and says, ‘this is it,’” explains Nouri. “It’s an incredible feeling that inspires me to continue.”
